Why I Bought It:
I bought this product on a whim a couple of years ago when I had an obsession with under eye concealers. Now, my eye bags are not very pigmented. They are red with only a bit of purple or blue pigments. The issue though, is that my eye sockets are indented to where it looks like I have eye bags, but its actually just my natural anatomy…meaning that even if I cancel out any discoloration, my eye bags will still be present…sigh. Regardless, I still was on the search to find a concealer or product that would best conceal my bags, or even get rid of them. Behold… Becca’s Under Eye Brightening Concealer! Now, I decided to try this product because of my OBSESSION with glowy skin and I knew that Becca is known for that. When I swatched the tester in Ulta, I immediately fell in love.
Why I Love It:
Love at first swatch. Thats basically all I can say. First, this product is very thick and a little goes a very long way. Second, the dewy glow that it gives is just amazing. There is absolutely NO GLITTER in this product yet somehow, it is like my dream highlighter (more on that later). When you apply this to your under eye, it truly gives you the best dewy ‘lit from within’ glow that I have ever experienced. It brightens up my under eye area so much, and it works beautifully under or over concealer. Not to mention, of all product I have tried, this did the best at improving the appearance of my under eye bags. But, this concealer is more than just a brightening corrector, it is multi-functional. I use this on the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them up and on my eyelid as a base for eyeshadow. I also like to use this as a highlighter since it gives THE BEST GLOW, without glitter or sparkle. I will throw the tiniest bit on my cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow to complete my makeup look.
The first con of this product is the price. It is $32 for 0.2 oz. However, this is Becca Cosmetics so it is not a cheap brand and like I said, a little goes a long way. The price is definitely worth it for this product. However, because I am a poor college girl, I try to use this sparingly- like only when I am going out and want to look my best or on days where I realllyyy look like a zombie. Once I run out, I will likely repurchase.
The other con is that it does crease. Although, most products crease on me but this one is not awful, it is only minimal creasing. This is to be expected with a product of this consistency, even though Becca claims that it is ‘crease free.’ Like I said, though, I love this product so much and neither the price or the small amount of creasing outweigh my love for this product.
